Honda Mobilio production discontinued in India due to poor sales volume

According to reports, Honda Car India has discontinued the production of the Mobilio India due to low demand and poor sale volume for the MPV. We had earlier reported that Honda is considering to discontinue the production of the MPV Mobilio due to its gradual decline in sales. The Honda Mobilio is available for a base price of Rs 7.10 lakh (ex showroom, New Delhi) and Rs 12.25 lakh (ex showroom, New Delhi) for the top end variant.
Since its launch in 2014, Honda has managed  to sell around 3500 units of the MPV Mobilio. However, in January and February  last year alone, Honda has sold only around 600 units.
Honda Mobilio competes against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Toyota Innova Crysta in the Indian market.
Honda launched the all new BR-V in India, which was said to be a replacement for the outgoing Mobilio. Honda BR-V is available in India for Rs 8. 75 lakh (ex showroom, New Delhi) for the base petrol trim and Rs 12.90 lakh (ex showroom, New Delhi) for the top end diesel variant.
