Parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala have been witnessing rain and
thundershowers activities for four to five consecutive days. During the
last 24 hours as well, light to moderate rain and thundershowers were
observed over parts of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. In fact, one or two place also recorded heavy spells.

The reason for these rain and thundershowers can be attributed to the presence of a trough. This system is extending from Kerala up to Telangana across Karnataka. Also, a cyclonic circulation is marked over Telangana and adjoining areas. This system is likely to move eastwards
